Wife took fatal overdose after being sent nude pictures of husband with her friend

A wife died of an overdose after discovering her husband was having an affair with one of her friends, an inquest heard.

Sarah-Jane Cunningham, 38, was devastated when she was sent pictures of husband Stuart naked with the pal.


Acccording to UK Mirror, the hearing was told that the racy snaps were sent to Sarah-Jane by her love rival.Sarah-Jane's sister Kim Dodd, 37, said she had a "destructive" relationship with her husband.

She said:

“She was addicted to her husband.
"They brought out the worst in each other but she would not leave him because she could not cope without him.”

The inquest was told Stuart's character changed after a motorcycle accident in 2014 left him with post traumatic stress disorder.

Kim added:

"He had anger management issues after he had his accident.Her problems made his problems worse and they rubbed each other up the wrong way a lot.”

Sarah-Jane, of Old Catton near Norwich, was admitted to hospital following overdoses in October.

She also received treatment following another overdose just four days before her death.She was released after spending three nights in hospital but died the following day.

Miriam Isaac, clinical team leader at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, said:

“The overdose was an attempt to communicate to her husband her frustrations rather than an attempt to die.”
